Load: Must increase each round, see strategy

WODprep Strategy Top Tips:

Warm-up (10 minutes): The majority of the warmup here will feature getting the power snatch ready. It is recommended that you warmup to your third bar you plan on hitting in the workout. Also spend some time warming up your double unders to make sure they’re ready to go for today.

Stimulus: Lifting with fatigue and elevated heart rate

Strategy: The Catch with the power snatch, is you must go up in weight between rounds. Your starting point and jumps are up to you. In round 1, you should be able to hit smooth singles for all 8 reps, or even TNG if desired. By the 4th round, they should be a struggle, but most likely not failing any reps.

  • Power Snatch- For the power snatches today, aim to have the first set be singles, but done pretty quickly. You’ll want to build to a heavy, but nothing heavier than 85%.

  • Double unders- The double unders today shouldn’t be a bottleneck, so if you can’t hit steady sets of 48, drop the volume, or go to singles.
