Today’s goal is consistency and pacing. If you’ve gone out like a rocket on the first round and can’t hold that pace, then you gone messed up! Each round should be the same time, but that doesn’t mean you should go out slow. You are looking for a challenging pace that you know you can hold.
When it comes to competition time, this is the kind of training you’ll be thankful for. 25 GHD can be a lot, so make sure you scale to a rep scheme that your core can manage. This workout isn’t meant to be testing your core today. You’re looking for a rep scheme where your lungs are feeling it after the run, and you have to control your breathing in the GHDs – so don’t pick a set of reps that are too little! You are meant to feel gassed.
