WODprep Strategy Top Tips:
Warm-up (10 minutes): A warm-up run will help with getting the body ready. Some hollow holds and v-ups can get the body ready for some GHDs, and finally, some warm-up sets of the deadlifts to prepare for heavy reps.Â
Stimulus: GHD volume
Strategy: Deadlift weight should be unbroken the whole time or at the most 2 quick sets. The GHDs should be one smooth set. It’s easy to go really fast on these and burn out. Slowing the rep speed down will help keep up bigger sites. Shake out arms and grip on the run.
- Deadlifts- Focus on keeping your feet driven into the floor. Coming off of the run, take some time to set up your lift as opposed to rushing right to the bar.Â
- GHD Situps – Remember to breathe, and squeeze your legs hard to initiate rise as opposed to lifting through your back. Â
