WODprep Strategy Top Tips:
Double-Unders (100 reps):
Grab that jump rope, but don’t strangle it. Keep a relaxed grip, and use your wrists to spin it. When you land, aim for softness on the balls of your feet. If you’re tripping up, don’t sweat it. Divide the reps into smaller, more manageable sets with quick breathers.
Wall Balls (50 reps – 20/14 lbs):
These are all about legs. Start with a set size that feels doable. A common tactic is doing 5 sets of 10. Keep your core tight and your hips in the game for power and precision.
Toes-to-Bar (40 reps):
Watch out for that grip fatigue. Split the reps into sets of 5-10. Maintain that strong core and use the kip efficiently to save energy.
Dumbbell Thrusters (30 reps – 50/35 lbs):
Pick a weight that you can handle. A good plan is 3 sets of 10. Focus on maintaining solid front squat form and engage your hips to thrust those dumbbells overhead. Breathe rhythmically through the movement.
Burpee Box Jumps (20 reps – 24/20 inches):
Keep a steady rhythm alternating between burpees and box jumps. Try a 5-5-5-5 rep pattern. Efficiency is key in your burpees, and be precise with your box jumps to avoid any “no-reps.”
Power Snatches (10 reps – 135/95 lbs):
Choose a weight that allows for perfect form. You can split the reps into 5-5 or 4-3-3. Focus on a solid setup and engage those hips and legs for a powerful bar snatch overhead.
