WODprep Strategy Top Tips:
Warm-up (10 minutes): We’ll be moving at higher intensity today. Use some jump squats and broad jumps to get yourself moving quickly. Then begin to warm up your clean and jerk to your working weight. Spend some time in a hollow position for the toes to bar, and hit a few shuttle runs and bar-facing burpees at pace so your body is ready to do some max rounds.Â
Stimulus: Power Output in a max rep settingÂ
Strategy: Clean and Jerks are forced singles here, so make sure you follow the bar back down, settle it, and then move quickly through your singles. In the reaming time, move quickly through your shuttle runs, but not at full tilt. You’ll want to save some energy for the max rep burpees in the next interval. For the Toes to Bar, find a rep scheme that can be done unbroken or in 2 quick sets.Â
- Clean and Jerk- Note that the clean and jerks are going to be done in singles. You can still move quickly, just focus on a good rest and start position that includes a neutral spine and straight arms as you perform each rep.Â
- Shuttle Run and bar facing burpees- Our Shuttle runs today are for max reps, so find a pace that will allow you to push, but won’t redline you for the other movements
- Toes-to-Bar- Aim to have a full grip with your thumb wrapped around the bar on these toes. Have a tight kip swing, and focus on keeping your legs straight as you push through your lats. Open back up with a tight kip to string your reps together.
