WODprep Strategy Top Tips:
Warm-up (10 minutes): With the runs, box jumps and deadlifts, we will want to spend time warming up our back and hamstrings. A light jog followed by some inchworms, good mornings, and side planks will get us ready to work.Â
Stimulus: Longer aerobic mix with posterior chain biasÂ
Strategy: This is a longer aerobic piece mixed with some intense posterior chain work. The Weighted situps should be paced to allow for a big set of deadlifts. Swing the arms on the box jumps to allow the legs to recover, and find a good stride on the 400m run.
- Box Jump- Make sure to use your arms and hips to rise up as much as you can to conserve energy. A step-down is recommended.
- Deadlift- The deadlift should be a moderate weight that should be held unbroken for the first few rounds, then maybe some smart breaks toward the end that allow you to get right on the box.Â
