Time Yourself

16 minute AMRAP
2 Shuttle Runs
2 DB Box Step-Ups (50lbs/35lbs)
4 Shuttle Runs
4 DB Box Step Ups
6 Shuttle Runs
6 DB Box Step Ups

8, 8, 10, 10 and so on…. try to hang on to the DBs as long as possible.

 

WODprep Strategy Top Tips:

Before heading into this workout, warm up by timing yourself doing 2 shuttle runs and 2 DB box step-ups. If it took you 30 seconds, you next want to find out how many reps in total you could get in 16 minutes.

By doing this exercise beforehand, it will give you an idea of how far up the ascending ladder you’ll make it and what kind of pace you need to hold. For example, if you hit the 8 minute mark, and you’re nowhere near where you thought you were going to be, it means you can put the gas on it for the second half.
