WODprep Strategy Top Tips:
Warm-up (10 minutes): Between the deadlifts and the wall balls, the legs will need to be warm. Hit a 400m run to warm up, the some inchworms, banded good morning, and air squats will get the legs going. From there, hit some toes to the bar to get that pattern warm, and finish by warming up your deadlift weight.Â
Stimulus: Grip Endurance work and pacing practiceÂ
Strategy: This one is sneakier than it looks. The deadlifts should be a weight that is annoying, but unbroken or in 2 sets every round. The Toes to the bar should most likely be broken up to ensure you don’t redline and blow up mid-workout. The wall balls will depend on capacity but can be held unbroken as long as it doesn’t slow down transitions.
- Deadlift- Aiming to keep have a neutral spine and flat back, because these should be unbroken and smooth.
- Toes to bar-Â Start by jumping into your hollow from directly underneath the bar, into a global kip for your first rep. Make sure you are driving down on the bar to activate your lats.Â
- Wall Balls – Keep hands underneath the bar and drive through your whole foot to take load off of your shoulders.Â
