The 2021 CrossFit Open is finally here and Open Workout 21.1 has officially been announced. This year’s CrossFit Open is already shaping up to be one of the most interesting in CrossFit history.

CrossFit Open Workout 21.1 (Rx’d)

CrossFit Open Workout 21.1 is the following workout FOR TIME. This workout has a 15-min time cap. As always, make sure you check out the CrossFit Games site for each workout’s movement standards.

For everyone tackling Open Workout 21.1 in the scaled division, your workout will be complete FOR TIME. Like in the Rx’D division, this workout has a 15-min time cap.

CrossFit Open 2021 FAQs

What’s different with the 2021 CrossFit Open?

The 2021 CrossFit Open is very different compared to previous years. For starters, this year’s CrossFit Open is only running for three weeks with three workouts. In previous years, the CrossFit Open ran for five weeks with five workouts.

In addition to the shortened timeline, this year’s Open also has two new workout types including Foundations and Equipment Free. Outside of the above, there have also been additional divisions added.

Which athletes competed at the CrossFit Open 21.1 announcement?

The two CrossFit Games veterans that went head-to-head at the CrossFit Open 21.1 announcement were Kari Pearce and Kristi Eramo O’Connell.

What equipment do I need for the 2021 CrossFit Open?

A couple of weeks ago, CrossFit released a list of equipment that one should have to ensure they can tackle every workout. The equipment required for the 2021 CrossFit Open includes:
– A Dumbbell
– A Barbell and Plates
– Pull-Up Location
– Plyo Box
– Jump Rope
– Open Wall Space

When does the 2021 CrossFit Open start and end?

The 2021 CrossFit Open starts on March 11th at 5 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) and finishes on March 29th at 5 PM PST. Every week from March 11th on, workouts are announced at 5 PM PST and athletes have until the following Monday at 5 PM PST to submit their scores.

When do I have to submit my scores for the 2021 CrossFit Open?

For the 2021 CrossFit Open, athletes will need to have their scorecards submitted by 5 PM PST on the Monday following the announcement. So, if a workout was announced on a Thursday at 5 PM PST, then athletes will have until the following Monday at 5 PM PST to have their official scores in.
