WODprep Strategy Top Tips:

Ready to practice some skills? In today’s workout, we’ll be practicing rope climbs and HSW together – so be prepared to be pushed to your limits.

The rope climbs need to be steady enough to keep a good pace, but not too fast that you need to break up your shoulder to overheads. You ideally want to be aiming for the shoulder to overheads to be unbroken.

Remember, even though this is a challenging workout, don’t let your technique drop. In your rope climbs, emphasise your high legs, big high grabs and keeping your arms as relaxed as possible.

Similarly, snatching with HSW – try to keep the snatches steady so that you can attack the HSW and go unbroken. Your only saving grace is that you open with your biggest set of snatches, but rounds of 4 & 3 will feel pretty rough – watch out!
