The CrossFit® Open often witnesses shifts in its participant count from one year to the next.

In the current year, we observed a significant surge in participation, with roughly 10% more athletes coming on board, pushing the total count up to a whopping 323,014 participants.

CrossFit® generally strives for gender parity among its athletes, aiming for a 50-50 split between males and females. But, in reality, there tends to be a slight bias toward male participants.

How to prepare for CrossFit® Open 2024?

Getting ready for the CrossFit® Open requires a multifaceted approach to fitness. You need to craft a comprehensive fitness regimen that covers all the bases: strength, endurance, flexibility, and skill development.

Consistency is key, so make sure to incorporate regular training sessions that encompass the range of activities commonly encountered in Open workouts. Dedicate time to hone your skills and address any weaknesses you may have – that's crucial for a strong performance.

But it doesn't stop there. Your nutrition, recovery, and mental game are equally pivotal. Your body needs the right fuel to perform at its best, and recovery ensures you're in top shape for each workout. Plus, mental preparedness can make or break your performance.
